On 7 June, Brussels Report hosted “the Great European Monetary Policy Debate” in the European Parliament in Brussels, together with the Cobden Centre, Alumni for Liberty and the Tholos Foundation.
The panel discussed the ECB’s monetary policy and the purchasing power of money. It included:
– MEP Johan Van Overtveldt MEP (ECR – N-VA), a former Belgian Finance Minister and Chair of the EP Committee on Budgets
– Barbara Kolm, Vice President of the Austrian Central Bank and Director of the Austrian Economics Center
– Jorge Jraissati, Director of Alumni For Liberty and a Venezuelan economist focused on international development
– Max Rangeley, Editor of The Cobden Centre, a UK think tank promoting honest money
